Ride COTA to Red, White & BOOM!
The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is expanding service
to and from downtown Columbus for Red, White and BOOM!, Friday, July 3.
COTA has scheduled 25 Local and Express lines for the event, an
increase in service over 2008. The public can ride COTA to and from
Red, White and BOOM! without the worries of traffic congestion and
parking.

10:00 a.m.
WNCI BOOM! Central presented by Orange Crush opens on Long Street east of Neil Avenue
11:00 a.m.
The Midway presented by the Ohio National Guard with food and novelty vendors opens on Washington Boulevard
The midway is the best place to
find hundreds of food vendors, games and inflatables transforming
Washington Boulevard into a street carnival.
12:00 p.m.
Long Street BOOM! presented by the U.S. Army opens
This area, located by North Bank Park, will be filled with vendors, an entertainment stage, and the WNCI BOOM! Central.Plus, it's a great place to view the fireworks!
Children's Hunger Alliance's Children's Park presented by COSI and KidsLinked opens at Battelle Park
With entertainment presented by Meijer.
Thousands of children, moms,
dads, grandmas and grandpas flock to Children's Park. Fun games,
educational activities, face painting and more keep children

AEP Independence Day Parade
The AEP Independence Day Parade
begins on Broad Street at COSI heading east and marches north on Front
St. disbanding at Spring St.
10:00 p.m.
FIREWORKS!
The fireworks will be shot from
Veterans Memorial on the north side of Broad Street with the Grand
Finale presented by Marathon.
